What our guests are saying
I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant, and it turned out to be amazing! The food was delicious, the prices were super reasonable, and the atmosphere was really nice. Honestly, this is some of the best soul food I’ve had in San Antonio. It’s rare to find quality soul food like this. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I took my fiancé here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. He is still taking about it. We had a chance to meet the owners. Lovely people. This is now going to be our date night spot.

We were in the mood for soul food and decided to give J’s Eatery a try. So glad we did. The chicken fried steak was the best we’ve ever had! The shrimp and grits (I ordered spicy) delicious. Too much food of course but we took a slice of homemade pecan pie for later. Will absolutely go back.
